What is measured

With permission, analytics records public page titles and clean URLs, article slugs, accepted newsletter signup submissions, and clicks to Ko-fi, Instagram and X. Link placement and destination platform help distinguish these actions. Query strings, URL fragments, visitor names, email addresses, form contents and private messages are not included in these events.

A signup event means the subscription service accepted the request; it does not mean the email subscription was confirmed. A Ko-fi click is not recorded as a payment or purchase.

Cookies and Google

Analytics uses Google’s first-party _ga cookies to distinguish visits, configured to expire after 90 days from their latest update. Google also processes technical information such as browser, device and network information to provide analytics. Advertising storage, ad personalization and Google signals are disabled in the site’s tag.

Turning analytics off blocks further site analytics events and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies for this domain. It does not delete information already received by Google. The browser stores your consent choice until you change it or clear site data.

Newsletter and support

Newsletter email addresses are submitted to the subscription service, not Google Analytics. Newsletter consent is separate from analytics consent. Ko-fi handles its own support transactions; this site does not collect payment details.
